Boneyard with History
 

It's amazing what is out there. Here are just 3 of some very unusual cars with history in the same desert location.

Still has the Hemi from its days on the salt.

I could be wrong but i believe the third one is a Lamborghini 3500 not an Aston Martin as you alluded to with the "James Bond" caption.
Is it silver or minus paint?

It is painted silver -- don't know what kind of metal is underneath the paint. It looks like it has different shaped rear whell well openings than the 400 GT. The boneyard also has a Terraplane, a 56 T-bird, a running 39 Ford Tudor, an old wooden unlimited hydroplane (with an iron-block Allison on an engine stand), a couple of experimental aircraft, and a couple of very old Bonneville streamliners, and a couple of jet engines as yard art. I was looking for a hood/grill for a 54 Citreon -- saw two complete cars in the background of a B-grade movie scene (about a 32 Ford), and tracked them down via Google earth. Bought one of the complete Citreons for what I thought I would pay for the hood/grill alone.

You're right on the wheel openings. There appears to be earlier versions with round wheel openings similar to the hatchback design. The Aston Martins of the era appear to all use dual headlights vs. quads.

The salt car is very cool.........that's a boneyard I'd love to cruise! :thumbsup:
