Alternator/starter solenoid/ fuse box???

More questions,, I am working on 69 Camaro with aaw hwy 22 kit, I installed the battery in the trunk, from positive post to remote solenoid in trunk out of solenoid to the front of pass side floor board. I mounted a bulkhead fitting there and the other side goes to battery, I have the ignition wire from the switch goes back to solenoid in trunk to operate starter. I now need to get power to fuse box and from alternator to charge battery, I need to install 175 amp mega fuse as well. Should I run one single wire back to the battery from alternator? since the floor post will be dead unless solenoid is activated, or should I eliminate the remote solenoid and just run straight off the ignition to the S terminal on starter then connect my charge wire to the floor post and install mega fuse between floor post and fuse box?
I have fuel pump power, battery cable, starter solenoid wire all on the right side of car just trying not to run more wires then needed.
Thanks Travis

Check out Madd Electrical.com, very informative web site for what you are doing. What is the 175 amp fuse for?

I think the function of the 175 amp fuse he is talking about is similar to the fuseble link wire that is recommended by Mad Electrical

I ran a 8gauge from battery side of solenoid protected by 12 gauge fusible link to terminal block on firewall with a 16 gauge fusible link to dash power. Before I moved battery to trunk there was a inline fuse at solenoid that was 50 amp. 175 is huge. :headscratch:

I bought a roll of 4 awg wire, I will mount my 175 megafuse in center of dash, on the firewall inside. I plan to run my wire from alternator to the megafuse. then continue with 4 awg wire to the battery, so both wires will be on right side terminal, then on the left run a wire to my power feed for fuse box. Do I need a fusible link in the alternator 4 awg wire or something back by the batthery in trunk?
Thanks
