RideTech TruTurn Linkage
I went to hook up my TruTurn arms and ran into an issue...I'm sure it is my issue but the ball joint on the left (driver side) that connects to the draglink under the Pitman arm is hitting my header and cant even get it connected....Is this a common area that needs modifying/cutting the header to make room?
Just wondering....I have Headman Long tube headers if that that makes any difference if anyone else has ran into the issue before... Just wondering if this is common....I put all new Pitman arm, and drag link on so nothing is bent...... Thoughts? |
I guess part two of this question...
IS it worth the effort to modify existing headers or just buy new ones? And if that is the recommendations, what will work for SBC and Truturn system and clear? |

Awesome ,thanks...
These the ones? 329-740-11210 MuscleMaxx Coated Header System 1967-69 Camaro 1968-74 Nova Small-Block Chevy 1-5/8" - 1-3/4" Primary Tubes 4-Bolt, 3" Collectors 2.5" Reducers |
its common that the header hits the Tru-turn, a muffler shop can cut-off modify that tube for just a couple bucks, and most times without even removing the header I had my shop modify mine for 20 bucks

No disrespect, but are you sure you have them on the right side? I forget which is which, but one of the tie rods is bent for extra clearance. You might have them on the wrong side.
Just a thought. |
Had to modify both of my Doug's headers.

I have the 1 3/4-1 7/8 stepped headers. Part # 740-21310

thanks.......The linkage is correct, but the issue is I can't even connect the drag link to the original drag link as the header down tube is in the way to even connect it as it hits the ball joint...
thanks for the thought though......you never know! |
