2nd Gen Camaro vs. '68-'74 Nova vs. '75+ Nova Subframe - Same Dimensions?
Are these all dimensionally the same? Specifically track-width. I'm having a hard time finding measurements. Looking to find a subframe for my wagon that not only fits, but also has aftermarket upgrades available. I know for a fact that a '75 and up Nova subframe will work excellent on my car, but there's almost no aftermarket parts available. Are the '75+ nova subframes the same dimensions as the second gen camaros? If so, I can go with a camaro subframe which obviously has tons of performance parts to pick from.
The earlier Novas also have a ton of parts available, as do the 1st gen camaros - which I believe are the same subframe dimensionally - but I don't know how those dimensions compare to the later models, and I'd rather go with the later frames anyway unless I have no choice. . |
I came across these two images. If correct, they show that the '75+ Nova and second gen camaro subframes are VERY similar, which means that if a '76 Nova front end works on my car, then a 2nd gen camaro subframe must work as well, no?

A 1975 plus Nova subframe is the same as a Second gen Camaro subframe. But the back half is 1968-9 Camaro/ Nova. Its a very strange car that way. .So you have a whole range of goodies for it.

Awesome, thanks! That's what I was hoping.
