What to buy 1st: rims/tires or drum to disc upgrade
Been pondering which to do first. I want 13" up front and 12s in the rear. Been looking at the Kore3 where I can use my existing drum spindles. Also saw the CPP big brake package but not sure if they still sell that. My wheels and tires will be 18x8 for the front and 18x10 or 11 in the back. Of course the car will be lowered to give it the right stance. I plan to autocross it as well. How do I get all the parts to work together without having a back spacing or non fitting problem?

Buy the brakes first. The wheels should be ordered to clear the brakes. Would suck to buy the wrong wheels and they not clear the new brakes down the road.

Choose the level of braking performance you need and then fit the wheel to the brake selection. |

Ok, so I'm looking at the Right Stuff big brake package. They say I can use my stock drum spindles. Is their drop spindle with the "improved geometry" worth it for auto crossing?

If the car is rolling now and if you know that the rims you're wanting to buy or are going to buy will clear the brakes, I'd go rims first if this keeps the car on the road. Otherwise, brakes first. Brakes first especially if the car is still in project state and not mobile. You might change your mind on the rims between now and then.
