That's a VERY wide open question!

There's lots of things that can factor in on smoothing a firewall.

Just installing a DSE fill plate, or completely cutting out the old one and making a new firewall from scratch?? Do you want it smooth or do you want to have some detail to it, bead rolling area for engine set back?? And on and on and on.

Just the basic smooth fire wall lets just say I have the old one cut out and a new one made vs dse cover.want to know what people are spending to smooth fire wall so if some one tells me a price to have it done I know I'm not taking advantage of just a round about price

Not sure about your areas labor rate but at my shop a DSE plate is 9 hours, a scratch made passenger side to center of car is 11 hours and a full w/ master cylinder, wiper hide, steering column and harness holes is 22 hours.

This does not include engine R&I and only prepped for paint.
