CPP C5 Spindle - Camaro / Nova

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with CPP's cast iron C5 spindles?

Affordable & attractive cast spindle.

Stock height.

Raised upper ball joint mount tall spindle to yield a better camber change during suspension movement (CP30013).

Utilize factory or CPP replacement steering arms (CP30013).

Work with factory control arms, CPP Totally Tubular™ and other after market arms.

The spindle alone works with factory 1997-2004 C5 corvette hub bearing pack, rotors and calipers.

Works with Baer, Wilwood and other aftermarket brakes designed to fit C5 spindles.

I just bought a set for a project car to try them out on. Will be a while before I get to actually drive the car though. Should have them assembled in a month or so when I assemble the subframe.

For those on a budget they look very tempting if the quality/safety is there.

Are you using their C5 hub kit also?

Thanks for the input.

There was a lively exchange between Tyler and the designer of the CPP spindle over on the other PT site if I remember right...

Ya, budget, i know. MCB was having a garage sale on open box stuff. The price was right, I already have C5 brakes & front hubs (used low mile off C5). I figured I'd try this stuff out. The car wont ever be used on an open track. I'll eventually sell it, but will drive it a while first. Should be fine for street use & autocross. I enjoy building first gens, trying different things with them (other than they all will have LSx engines) and learning a little in the process.

I dont know the quality of the material the cpp spindles are made from, but if youve seen a 71-72 c10 disc spindle its cast iron and there a few guys tracking on that type of spindle,i think mike hickman's 68 is using cast spindles maybe he can chime in if hes on the forum,he is an engineer.
