Wheel and tire Size's
 

I have bought many wheels and tires over the years and never seem to get it right I used to rely on my local tire shop to tell me what I need and when they could not get it right I stopped using them. im building a pro touring type car and need to know whats the best tool to use to get the right wheel and tire combo for my car. thanks car Gods

A tape measure. :excited: They do make these little gadgets that you bolt onto your hub and spin around so you can find out sizing that way as well.

Companies like Forgeline offer a worksheet that you fill out to help find the right wheel and tire combo sizes as well.

Also searching on websites like this one help a ton. There is usually somebody that has stuffed the biggest rims and tires possible onto your same car before.

Yep, old tire, rim, tape measure and a straight edge. Remember the a rim is 1" wider than the advertised size. Example, an advertised 10" wheel is actually 11" wide edge to edge.

I would also add that find the rim style you like and work with that manufacture/representative on what you are trying to achieve...They have put enough rims on cars to know what works best..

Can't say enough about Jason Rushforth "Rushforth Wheels"and the technical advice in making sure I got the best look out of the space I was working with and was VERY pleased with the turn out....
