Wheel & Tire value? What am I missing?

Getting a bit frustrated trying to sell my wheels/tires? What am I doing wrong here? Can anyone enlighten me on how to get these things sold without giving them away? I'm taking a $400 loss at the price they are listed at now.. Ad has over 1500 views so it is definitely getting seen, Any input is appreciated.....

Nothing really wrong in my opinion. Just a fact that people want to steel them. Yes you are losing $400, but it isn't really a significant amount for someone to else.

At least that is my .02

Agreed. Not easy to find someone who wants the IDENTICAL set of wheels with specs, finish, etc. That $200 you spent on custom billet caps might not appeal to many others. I dunno.

For $400 more, I would just order brand new exactly how I want them personally.

Hey, you asked. :)

I agree with Flash, heck see my sale ads and look at what discount it took to sell my items. Most at 50% off, that's just the way it is with used or preowned like new parts.

I'd have to agree ^^^ I just bought a set of 18x10 and 18x8 Billit Speaclties new with BfG KDW2 295's & 245's also new. $1600 for the whole setup.

I get what your saying about losing $400 but just not a great deal it's a good deal but most guys are not going to jump on a good deal until they need them? I bought mine for a great deal I wasn't really ready for my wheels but for a great deal I had to buy them now.

The other thing that may be holding you back is they are 17's?? Most want 18's or 19's today. I wanted to run 18's front and 19's rear but for the deal I got I'll take what I got.

Not trying to bash just trying to help you and you asked!

They are out of style also. If they aren't selling, the price is to high.

Why would someone buy yours if they can get the same thing nib from the supplier . Poeple usually want either a great deal or a dealer to stand behind them. It's not their problem that you are losing $400

I appreciate the feedback fellas, hearing some opinions puts a few things into perspective. My thought process all along was that saving $4-500 on a new set of wheels, over buying new was actually a pretty good savings...... Apparently most don't have the same mindset. In addition to that the flat caps and powder coating actually address two shortcomings of these wheels....... 1. cutting down on maintenance and allowing for ease of care with no polishing or risk of staining on bare cast centers........2. Getting rid of the somewhat cheap looking chrome plastic cap Vintage supplies. The fact that they are bolt on ready actually saves a buyer time and money as well, but that fact alone must not be enough to add any real value to anyone interested.

Sounds like a price drop is in order........

They can't get the same thing NIB from the supplier, and I never mentioned it was anyone's problem I was losing money. Was just curious as to why more didn't see the $400 savings as being significant enough to purchase, but that was addressed in the above responses.

They appear to be a stock configuration. Definitely post them on the Nova site.
