Covering dash in leather

Covering 69 Camaro dash in leather?

I have tried to get rid of the waxy coating on the dash so that adhesive will stick, I have solvent wiped it and abrasive blasted it and it's still feels waxy.

Sand the front edge good 80 grit, sew the cover with a nice double stich and just pull it around tight and glue the back edges around the bottoms, thats how we do it
