Mast or Holley Retro Oil Pan (LS3 in 68 Camaro)
I'm updating from current LS1 to LS3 on my 68 Camaro. Stock subframe and I have a modified F Body oil pan on the LS1 and had planned to change to an aftermarket cast pan on the LS3.
I see that the Holley now has a baffle available to suit their retro oil pan, https://www.holley.com/302-10.asp. Cost of Holley oil pan & baffle around $600.00 The Mast pan around $450.00 and appears to have a baffle system built in. They appear to be very similar in dimensions? Does anyone have pros & cons on either, is baffle set up on one superior to the other. thanks |
Roger,
You may also want to take a look at the pan Speed Tech offers. http://www.speedtechperformance.com/...rod/prd274.htm John |

Moroso makes a pan with good baffling at a reasonable price, according to the application chart it will work in a 1st gen.

Thanks guys, but have a preference for a cast pan and not wishing to run remote oil filter |

You don't have to run a remote filter with that pan but if you want a cast pan then it doesn't really matter.

I can't speak for the others but the ATS pan on the Camaro has been great, but a remote filter is needed. It's one of the few parts on the car that required no modifications to work properly.
