Glad to help Rick. :unibrow:

'Wagoons done right are cool, aren't they? Plus that wagon practicality can come in handy sometimes obviously.

Next door neighbor showed up in the "shed" driveway the other day with his brand new C --- 507.

I'd never heard of that model - but it's bad ass for sure. I'm not a fan of the C body but it was killer.

Sad news for AMG fans...the great 6.2L 4 cammer n/a motor is going away; to be replaced in the AMG C-class reportedly by a 4.0L V8 twin -turbo for the '15 models.

Referencing the Ferrari F40 video I posted..........Is that a bad thing? :_paranoid

Example: Porsche Turbo S 3.8L 6 with 560 hp and 553 lb. ft. of torque.

Sieg,

Well, as you know the old Z-28 was 302 cid.

The new one of course is a 427. :)

Driving the very highly regarded 6.2L n/a V8 in a semi-dated platform or a 4.0L TT V8 in the new '15 AMG C-class.

"Well, according to me. I have driven the CLS63, E63 with the TT motor. I have driven the S6 with the turbo motor and a 550i with the turbo motor.

They all sound like crap but the Benz is the most acceptable of them. They are not in the same league as the NA V8. Never said they were slow, mind you, but the aural, soul tingling experience will pale in comparison."

My S63 Twin Turbo V8 sounded awesome - was awesome and pulled a hugely heavy car like it was a bullet shot out of a cannon… was a thrill to drive fast or slow.

My Porsche Cayenne Turbo V8 sounds like crap… doesn't pull anywhere near the way the MBZ - and while it's a nice "car/SUV" to me it's BORING.

Our "on order" Porsche is the GTS -- mostly because we don't need a turbo for Sun Valley's 25 mph speed limits -- but also because it sounds bad ass and I feel the low end torque makes for a better driving experience.
