Wheel Offset Question

OK. I am trying to sort out the proper wheel offset for the wheels on my 1/12th Camaro. I'm going with 11" wide wheels out back and 8.5's up front. What would be a good offset for the wheels, both front and rear?

Is your front hub width established? The fronts are harder to calculate because you have to take not only tire to fender clearance on the outside into concideration but also lock-to-lock clearance to the frame and suspension components on the inside. I would suggest mocking up a cardboard tube tire/wheel combo and then making a wheel mounting face you can slide them in and out on to work out the clearances.
The rear is easier. I like to set the offset to something more to the negative. Your rim is 11" so set the offset at 6 or 6.5 to minimize loading on the axle bearings. Now this is for a 1:1 car so you can do whatever you think looks good for your model. The only change is housing width and that will need to be built to the offset you decide on.

another thing that I am having trouble with is the placement of the valve stems. Can anyone comment on proper location?
