Forgeline's New One Piece Forged Monoblock Directional Spoke RB1 Wheel

Forgeline Motorsports is proud to introduce our new one piece forged monoblock RB1 wheel. Shown here in our Transparent Smoke finish, the RB1 is machined from a single 6061-T6 aluminum forging and features a concave 10-spoke design with a subtle directional twist on each spoke, so every set includes unique left and right versions. The RB1 also incorporates Forgeline's I-beam technology on the spokes and along the spans between spokes, so it looks great and delivers the usual performance benefits of a 1pc forged monoblock wheel (i.e., high deflection stiffness, excellent fatigue strength, relatively low mass).

Being a one piece wheel, offsets and backspacing are not quite as flexible as they are with a 3 piece wheel (since we can't just mix and match rim shells). But we have a pretty large offset range available, so with the right axle configuration, we should be able to accommodate most potential pro-touring fitments. It is currently available in 18, 19, and 20-inch diameters with a range of widths and offsets. (Please Note: Depending on size, the RB1 may be available in deep, medium, or shallow concave profiles. See sizing chart for details.) Learn more (including sizes and pricing) at: http://www.forgeline.com/products/on...block/rb1.html

That's why everybody needs more than one set. :)

Mark - sorry for the DA question, but is that a right or a left wheel? :headspin:

lol, is there a new wheel in your future?

I'd say driver's side Ron. That's how I run my RB3C's anyway, which have a very similar "beveled" edge. I'm sure (by the way the brake dust patterns are) it creates a bit of a fan-effect. So I say it's a performance gain to use these wheels. Let's call it a rotational brake cooling vortex generator spin thing.:unibrow:

 there's always a new wheel in my future Aaron.

Thanks for the info, and I hear you on that "rotational brake cooling vortex generator spin thing" ... that wheel is awesome!

Sorry for the slow response. Yes, our engineer intended for this to be a left side (driver side) wheel. So the twist on the spoke is on the trailing side of a forward rotation.

But as long as you matched up both similar wheels on the same side, then there is no wrong answer. It might look weird if you mixed and matched on the same side, though...

Perfect timing. I am just starting to shop!!:D Good looking wheel!
