Buzzing the Tunnel

A couple of my Pantera buddies and I went for
a drive over the hill and up the coast in Norcal on Sunday...
what a beautiful day. We came up on the new
tunnel... approx 500 yards long...they built just south of Pacifica (Devils Slide)
After entering the tunnel I slowed up for a little space
and dropped two gears and dropped the Hammer... the
180 headers filled the tunnel with an almost F1 sound
My poor buddies behind me could not even hear their
almost 600 hp Panteras... the SUV in front of me hit the
brakes for a minute as I think he thought the tunnel was
caving in.

I need to go back when there is no one around and
shoot thru it at 7000 rpm and grab a few gears

Life is good in Norcal:mock:

No video. I was thinking the same thing
Not sure the sound would work. We had
A gopro on the wing with straight pipes
at the track in Arizona and it sounds distorted
Camera's doesn't like it too loud

Might try mounting the camera without the case using their frame mount inside the car with the windows down. That may defeat the mic's noise canceling. Or use a remote mic. Or have a chase car shoot video.

It's no secret that GoPro's audio is lacking in motorsport applications. I noticed at the last few AMA MX races the sponsored riders were not using the camera's waterproof housing when helmet mounted. I'm guessing to improve audio capture by eliminating resonance generated by the waterproof case.

Or.........hire this guy to capture it for you.

haaa haaa we used to do that through the Broadway and Caldecot too....My Chevelle had home made manual cutouts. With 4 drag cars going through at the same time makes it crazy loud. Its a blast aint it?

We went through a few months ago. They did a nice job, the entrance reminds me of a scene from Ridley Scott's "Alien".

I don't think I want a video car behind...
then they will know who I am.. I can't imagine
4 drag cars running thru with cuttouts.. way cool stuff

I just got an email from one of my buddies that has found
a set of 180's for a 351w Pantera.... they were only made for
a short while.. Now I can help my other buddy spend money
Sounds like that is something that happens on this Forum all the time:)

Speaking of spending money looks like my lexan rear window showed
up for the Firebird.. Christmas present from my wife

Now I know where those tire marks came from! Be careful they do have cameras, but not sure if anyone's been busted..They haven't got me yet. :goggles:

A video, no matter how cool, might lead to issues with the local 5-0. However, some audio would be killer......

I can just see that suburban hitting the brakes with the "holy ......" look on their face, that made me laugh out loud (lol literally)

But, yeah, what are friends for :G-Dub:
