I've been lurking here for a long time, I thought it was time to join.

Some of you might know me from other boards.

I'm Don, I've been working on cars since the 60's. Worked for many years as a GM tech at dealerships.

I had a small performance shop that specialized in Chevy, but we did almost anything. I'm now "retired".

Anyway, my 2 cars now are a 67 RS/SS convertible and a 70 RS.

Here are a few pics of the 67.

(ZZ430 clone, Richmond 6-Speed, Martz "Road Race" subframe, coilovers, power rack and pinion, aluminum drive shaft, Currie 12-bolt with 3:73's, VB composite rear springs, Wilwoods, Borla, etc.)

And here are a few of the 70. http://www.flickr.com/photos/4670146...7623839446289/

Welcome to the site Don. I love the pic of the 67 with the needle pegged and the tach somewhere near 6k rpm. :D

Welcome Don...looks like a couple of clean f-bodies you have there.

My folks lived in Scottsdale...how does the weather compare in Payson?

Thanks for the welcome Jay, that pic is actually the last frame of a poor quality in-car video.

Thanks Skip.

Payson is about 75 miles NE of Scottsdale. We are at 5000 feet elevation on the "Rim", so it's usually about 10-15 degrees cooler here. It will snow from time to time, but it melts quickly.

It's been pretty nice lately with temps in the 60's.

Thanks.

I've been looking at some of the other builds here and I'm about 15 years behind the times!
