Aeromotive fuel tank
I was just wondering if anyone has used the new tanks from aeromotive for the fuel injected cars. I have a Chevelle that I am going to put an LS engine in. One thing I really like is that they look stock. From my understanding they use the Tanks INC tank and put their setup in it. Was wondering how well they do with cornering and the sump keeping full, I know that some tanks have issues with that. Thanks for any insight.

We just installed one in a 69 Camaro. they come powdercoated silver look great has the Stealth 340 pump in it if I remember -6 line hooks right up, you do need to use a pressure regulator up in the engine bay and a return line so that adds a bit to the job also an inline filter but it all is good stuff, just get all the Aeromotive parts and you should be golden
give us a call we are a Areomotive dealer and can get you everything you need |
Thanks, not sure when I will be getting around to ordering the fuel system because I want to get the body work done so the car can sit a whikle before paint. I was wondering if I could just use the corvette filter/regulator assembly, I have seen that used a lot before.

I installed one and have been very happy with it so far after about 1000 miles, although the sending unit is causing my Autometer gas gauge to be off. The gauge and sending unit both match in terms of 'ohms', so I'm not sure what the issue is. The gauge reads too high now, so when I get to a 'half tank' on the gauge I'm nearly empty in the tank. I just haven't had time to try to debug. Anyway, I do recommend the setup.

I was wondering about the sending unit in them, I can never seem to get fuel guages to read correctly after you go to the aftermarket. It gets a little frustrating.

I didn't think you were trying to ruin the thread at all, any info about this stuff will just help me out or anyone who might come across it. I don't get around much on here but you can get all kinds of great info from the fine people on this site:thumbsup:
