ICF Buildings Thoughts???
 

Hello everyone!

I am getting ready to build a new house and stop my weekly commute to Louisville, Key from Lansing, Mi every weekend. Starting to get ideas on building and different ways to go. Looking at regular style home but with spray foam and geothermal etc.. also looking into ICF structures. I anyone has thoughts or experience with ICF would love to hear it. Also thinking about a ICF "shed" as GregWeld calls them! LOL

I have no first hand experience, but I have heard numerous issues ranging from mold to mice tunneling into the foam. I'm not sure I'd ever want one because of the possible problems and limitations of attaching things to the walls.
But with all that being said, I would do quite a bit of research and speak with someone that actually has had one for a few years. I DO like the energy savings tho!!
