E-Brake Assembly Mounting Studs
 

Anybody ran into this before? After detailing the original e-brake Assy I managed to sheer a mounting stud off during reinstallation. Do these studs press in? Looks as though they are captured somehow similar to a carriage bolt etc? Any info on a good replacement here aside from replacing the whole assembly?

Its a swedge fit.

You can cut it out and tac weld a 3/8" bolts back in.

Appreciate the info. By cut do you mean drill out? Was hoping there would be other alternatives rather than the welding in a bolt method, but that may have to do

There are alternatives......but why? Grind a flat on stud with a die grinder, center punch it, then drill it out. You could use a flat head bolt but technically it's weaker and more expensive than a grade 5 or 8.
