Something different.....
Once in a while you see something that is just cool in a different sort of way. Apparently the owner/fabricator also has an functioning steam shovel in his front yard along with an 8 cylinder radial engine with prop on a stand in his shop. :D
This truck is pretty well engineered and tested as the build started in 1989. It's powered by twin Old's Toronado 455's that each have 175 hp nitrous systems. For kicks the builder Tom Deitrich has enough confidence in the build that he recently submitted it to Hot Rod's flog test. :D http://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-4...4jhHkn8-XL.jpg http://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-t...tnMN3fk-XL.jpg http://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-4...4jhHkn8-XL.jpg http://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-j...jCLKmkd-XL.jpg http://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-8...8cw95Tg-XL.jpg And lastly the builder...... http://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-X...XsdVcpK-X2.jpg |

That is pretty neat! 2 olds motors on nitrous totals up to what, 600hp or so? :stirthepot:

That's really cool. Thanks for posting it, Scott.

Tom also has a Jeep with a Cummins 4BT that's running 27 lbs of boost. He said the Dana Super 60's keep breaking.
