Stock vs narrowed rear end

I have a 68 camaro with ridetech bolt in 4 link and mini tubs installed. I am in the process of researching what rear end I am going to use

can someone explain what the advantages of running a narrowed rear end are compared to a stock width?

Thanks
Paul

Hey Paul - IMO it comes down to three things depending on your goals:

* Looks - a narrowed rear end will give you the ability to move the wms inward thereby giving you a deep dish (i.e. more lip).

* Fitment - with your setup many fit an 18x12 wheel but it's tight!

* Performance - ideally you want your rear track width about an inch narrower than your front, but unless you are going with a square set-up you'll get some front end push under racing conditions. Go to the suspension section and read the stickies by Ron Sutton. Lots of info so take your time.

What are your design and performance goals?
