Shafiroff 472 SB

What does anyone think about this engine? http://www.ultrastreet.net/ultrastre...675_engine.asp

Also would this fit under the 3 inch cowl hood being that it is a tall deck, and could this be twin turbo charged with such thin walls?

That's the same block that I'm using. It fits under the stock cowl hood no problem, but getting headers to fit is a challenge.

That's pretty cool they have a long block option for turbo and supercharged setups.Im curious did you get pricing on the long block or you looking at a complete setup?

i have built acouple for some dirt late model guys here in town and have had no problems, both of them are running 15.1 comp.doesnt overheat and makes killer power.

15.1 comp would be about the same a twin turbo set-up.as far as cylinder pressure.

thats a sweet motor.....

Cool thanks Scott. Yeah Johnny, I was looking for the whole engine. complete. I could not have 15.1 compression on a street engine, because California gas is not that good to support it, and I don't want it to be non pump friendly. I'm still weighing options for the near future.

Indeed. I wonder if that 2yr/24K mile warranty that they advertise applies to their long blocks as well as their complete engines? :D Now THAT would be pretty cool....Somehow I doubt it!

There not street motors,I was using the comparsion for comp to a TT set-up

I am thinking about building a 488 sbc with a pro charger for my in ride or a ls7 with kinsler fi.
