wagon tail gate glass help
 

i have broken the rear window on my malibu twice.. i have the chrome trim work form the windows to use as a pattern... i have thought about lexan, though idk how well it will seal with one side curved and not fix mounted..
steel peice painted to match would be easiest.. though i would lose alot of my rear view visibility... got any sugestions? used some 10 mil plastic as a temp fix those duct tape only last soo and its really tooo tacky for me...
finding a oem glass to replace it is a major PITA and $$$ the major glass replacment companies dont stock it.. im not a sheet metal fab guy...
