1967 Camaro Coupe Pro-Touring Project
Item Location (City/State): Walla Walla, WA
Price: $35,000 Description: 1967 Camaro Coupe Pro-Touring Project - $35,000 Body: This is a real RS/SS California car (no drivetrain), which has been off the road since 1979. The body work is done, the inner lips of the rear fenders have been rolled for tire clearance, the passenger side of the firewall has been smoothed, and the car is painted the original Tahoe Turquoise with a white bumble bee stripe and assembled with stainless steel hardware. (I have some pre-paint pictures as well.) It’s an extremely sound, rust free, original body with all original sheet metal and great gaps – there are no replacement panels anywhere on this car. This is a great starting point for anything from a mild resto-mod to an all-out pro-touring build without having to go through rust repair or paint jail. The car has a factory subframe painted black mounted with DSE or GW (I forget which) solid aluminum bushings, third gen IROC steering box, new inner and outer tierods, new idler arm, SPC upper and lower control arms, AFCO spring adjusters with 500 lb./in. springs and AFX spindles. It has a 12 bolt 3.55 positraction rear (out of my '68, newly rebuilt in 2012), with Flex-Form composite leaf springs with swivel bushings front and rear and C5 internal parking brake brakes with red powder coated calipers and C5 rotors installed. The wheels are C5 wheels with bolt-on spacers I’ll sell the body, less the C5 brake parts and the AFX spindles, for $20,000. The purchase of the entire project includes the following parts, which are not installed: LS Engine:
Transmission:
Suspension & Brakes:
Electrical & Gauges:
Exhaust:
Interior:
Factory Parts:
Fuel system:
To complete the car the major items needed are:
I’m only hitting the highlights. When I moved from Southern California to Walla Walla some idiot (me) dropped a metal shelf bracket on the car. The paint is chipped, but easily repairable. I’ll break it up if, and only if, the body is sold to someone who doesn’t want all the other items. Until the body is sold, I won’t part it out. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...902/SSSgoB.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...905/MNBNjw.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...674/XGWFND.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...912/1qzBFI.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...537/XjGN2f.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...673/sSz9Ph.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...743/1Gr4pb.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...538/6DQ0yN.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...538/ZP2IIH.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...540/XT1eDT.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...661/F2dQ1E.jpg |
