Description: 1967 Camaro Coupe Pro-Touring Project - $35,000

Body: This is a real RS/SS California car (no drivetrain), which has been off the road since 1979. The body work is done, the inner lips of the rear fenders have been rolled for tire clearance, the passenger side of the firewall has been smoothed, and the car is painted the original Tahoe Turquoise with a white bumble bee stripe and assembled with stainless steel hardware. (I have some pre-paint pictures as well.) It’s an extremely sound, rust free, original body with all original sheet metal and great gaps – there are no replacement panels anywhere on this car. This is a great starting point for anything from a mild resto-mod to an all-out pro-touring build without having to go through rust repair or paint jail.

The car has a factory subframe painted black mounted with DSE or GW (I forget which) solid aluminum bushings, third gen IROC steering box, new inner and outer tierods, new idler arm, SPC upper and lower control arms, AFCO spring adjusters with 500 lb./in. springs and AFX spindles.

It has a 12 bolt 3.55 positraction rear (out of my '68, newly rebuilt in 2012), with Flex-Form composite leaf springs with swivel bushings front and rear and C5 internal parking brake brakes with red powder coated calipers and C5 rotors installed.

The wheels are C5 wheels with bolt-on spacers

I’ll sell the body, less the C5 brake parts and the AFX spindles, for $20,000.

The purchase of the entire project includes the following parts, which are not installed:

LS Engine:

A fully assembled (by J&M Racing Engines in Monrovia,CA) never run, LS1 short block consisting of an LS1 block, LS2 crankshaft and full floating pin powdered metal rods, Mahle forged pistons and a PatG spec’d cam (227/231 .614/.617" 113LSA +2 advance).
Used but freshly rebuilt ported Trick Flow 215 heads cut to 59cc (putting the engine right at 11:1 compression ratio)
New LS6 intake with a ported and polished throttle body
NIB Cadillac race lifters
NIB Yella Terra roller rockers.

I’ll sell the engine and uninstalled parts for $4,500.

Transmission:

Used Aftermarket T56 six speed manual transmission with about 5,000 miles on it – 2.97:1 first gear; 0.62:1 sixth gear
New “old” style ATS cross-member

I’ll sell the T56 for $2,000.

Suspension & Brakes:

New Hotchkis front & rear sway bars
NIB Bilstein shocks front and rear
NIB master cylinder and non-adjustable disk/disk proportioning valve
New brakes lines (for a ’68 but I think they’ll work)
Red powder coated freshly rebuilt front and rear C5 calipers

Trim: RS headlight setup and center of grill (I have a number of parts, but they’re rough)
Interior: Full interior (I have a headliner, the rear seat is in great shape, I have front seat covers for stock seats matching the rear seat), dash carrier for VHX gauge set
