Stuffed a 6.1 hemi into my 64 dart GT.......
 

.........with a little help from Pro Paint Shop 8 :unibrow: . ok so im dreaming, but it is my goal. thought id have a little fun with some pics i took of my car as i was cleaning up the garage. as you can see i havent even mastered my Pro Paint program. good for a few giggles anyway i guess

Had me fooled. That would be sweet. Just please dont be like Bary White and call it the Poison Dart. I can't believe he did not research the name at all. oh well different thread.

thanks guys. no posion dart here, i was gonna try and use a 66 Polara dash in my dart, and in doing so i was thinking of combining the names Dart and Polara and was coming up with names like Dodge Dalara GT,Dodge Dolara GT, and even Dodge Dalora GT but then i wondered if any of them sounded cool. i thought maybe one of them sounded like a sports car name and itd throw most people off "what the hell is a Dodge Dolara?". but havent really come up with anything permanent. the 64 dart in my opinion is the best looking of the darts. unlike the boxy darts of 67-74 (no offense 67-74 dart ouners) the early 63-66 darts had some really nice lines. i like the way the front hood is on both the 63-64 models, but the 64s grille looks better then the 63s in my opinion. heres a few pics of some 64s that actually run (unlike mine). the first one is close to the color i want my dart, and the last one shows how the hood is rounded. the red car has a nice ride height.
sometimes i look at the headlights and wonder if people will take my car seriously, ya know they kinda give people a good feeling like "Oh that little car is as cute as a VW Beetle" :( , but then i start thinking about what peoples reactions will be when the ouner of the "cute little dart" steps on the gas. id like to hear something like "that dart is bad@ss", but it will probably be something like "that cute little car can go". oh well, she might not look as mean as a Dodge Charger, but she should motorvate well :thumbsup: .
