Fitting al knoch deluxe panels
I know it's been done many times but how do you guys get these door panels to fit really nice on the door , after some massaging I'm still off !
They fit ok without the inner side window guide brackets. But there will not have whole lot of support on upper edge without them and not mention glass guide issues http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps89ca015f.jpg That's a huge gap. almost an inch ouch!!! They look good and I will make them fit but figure I'll ask before I start cutting on door |
Wow, that is a gap. I know many have used a heat gun on inside to make them conform a little better. Amazing they could fit back then but don't with 45 year newer technology.

Good point rod. I'll look that up

The door weatherstrip has large molded ends to fill those gaps.

Just got around to installing weather stripping , panels fit and look great. No need to bend brackets turns out to be my repop door outer top edge was off on front end by 3/4" ( not much :) !!!! ) no fun on trying to keep that top edge on check as it curves twice while trying to keep top flat and even. This is one of the reasons why it will get completely built before any paint.
