Anyone ever have a detached Retnia???

So i went to the retnia Dr yesterday and I have a tear in my left eye's retnia and now its detatched. Going in for surgery this afternoon :headscratch:

For those of you that do not know much about diabetes, your eyes are one of the areas that it will attack and onces it does look out!!

So for the next two weeks I have to sit and lay with my head facing the floor  oh and i have to sleep that way as well.

45 years and this will be my first surgery not a bad run I guess :knock:

Wow! Sorry to hear that Rick!

One of my best buddies had Diabetes... Management of that took a lot of this time. We used to ski a couple days a week and he was always careful to manage his blood sugars. He did have lots of undesirable side affects but never let it stop him from what he wanted to do.

Good luck Rick

A massage table might be a decent investment (prescription maybe?)

And a busty masseuse / nurse in uniform (short skirt, high heels) of course! I'm sure your wife won't mind. Of course you won't be able to see her, and you know, laying on your belly can cause some discomfort in that, umm, 'state'

Take care Bro!

But after the Eye Surgery, he won't be able to see this Masseuse/Nurse. Better check to see if she has Instructions written on her Chest in Braille!
