I just bought mine last week from Summit and it arrived the next day by truck freight. You likely won't find anyone cheaper than $2995 because Tremec is very strict about dealer pricing. I shopped around and everyone was more than that and their shipping was higher than Summit's. I would like to buy from a vendor other than summit, but when they offer nothing more than summit or they don't have stock, but I pay $3-500 more it doesn't make sense.
You can however find 10% off Summit coupons. If you look around on your favorite for sale sites, you can probably find one for sale. Or, they pop up free from time to time. Summit gives them away at races. I used one last week and it knocked $300 off the price.
