New wheels / tires - lots of wheel weights on one wheel
Got a wheel and tire package shipped (17" Vintage Wheel V40 and Nitto NT555s). Three wheels have between 2 and 7 stick on 1/4 oz weights in one row but one wheel has 22 all in one row. I would think this would have raised a red flag since it is so far out compared to the others. What is an acceptable limit and should I be concerned about a defect and return this wheel/tire combo?

I don't like to see over 3 oz total weight. Most likely you need to have the tire spun 180 degrees on the wheel and re-balance and it will get better. If, not then, check the run-out of the wheel and tire. Most modern tire/wheel balancers can check this easily. If one has excessive run-out then, yes, return/exchange it. Good luck! |

If spinning the tire on the wheel 180 degrees doesn't fix it have them balance just the wheel to see if the wheel or the tire is the issue .
Depending on what method they used to balance the wheel you may or may not be able to easily fix the issue . |
