New Guy Mini-Tub question

I have a '68 Camaro I want to mini-tub the rear-do i have to change the front leafspring mounts, or just pull the rears in 1 3/4 inch?-Chris

If you go with the DSE kit, you can use their offset shackles for the rear mount and not have to touch the fronts to get up to a 335 tire to fit. You will need to notch the frame and use a new gas tank.

Thanks Tom-Been following your build, good move on dropping the back down a bit-LOOKS AWESOME. You also inspired me to go ahead a replace a door skin i had been fighting with, lotsa holes and high spots, keeps the pics comming-keeps us guys who are futher behind motivated-Chris

Thanks Chris, yeah sorry to say that the minitub was not fun but I wouldn't build a firstgen without it. I love the big meats in the back - just wish I would have gone with the 335s - but it was my first time and I was worried about the clearances enough with the 315s.

can you put 335s under a 69 with the DSE kit and leafs?

Yes, and in addition to the DSE minitub kit you will need a narrowed gas tank.
