Vintage Air ac question, Heater Hoses
I installed my vintage air system on my 69 camaro and ran the hoses through fresh air hole. Then drilled four holes in the firewall. I am now thinking about installing a bulkhead and changing from crimp style hose ends to ez clips.. I saw a post that I can't find that had an fittings to the heater core. They had brass adapters I believe 37 degree in the ends of the heater core so the an fittings would seal. Can someone tell me where to get the fittings that go in the heater core ends?
What ac hose did you use for the ez clips, I see there is a hose that is more flexible that the stuff that comes with the stock vintage air kit. I was trying to eliminate having a bulkhead for the smooth firewall look but realize what a pain it will be to service if I don't put in the bulkhead. Live and learn I guess. Thanks Travis |
Travis,
Here is the setup that I ran (taken from a DSE build pic) flare adapters: http://nostalgicac.com/fittings-hose...-adapters.html I bought all the ez-clip fittings and hose from the Hose Warehouse & Ebay, but it isn't pulling it up for me now? examples: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-A-...449a31&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/EZ-Clip-Stra...19560037&rt=nc The ez-clip pliers I bought off Ebay Hope this helps, Jeff |
Yep, that is what I was looking for thanks, what did you use for heater hose?

Also mounted my heater value the same way Jeff |
Anyone know if those are -10 AN for the heater hoses? Or know the part number for the nylon braided hose?

I will have to look it up , but I believe that I ordered everything for that setup through The Hose Warehouse http://hosewarehouse.com/aeroquip |
-10 should be 5/8 I haven't ordered any hose yet, I would like to know if anyone knows if this is the hose they ordered I was looking at the gh134, There are quite a few different choices. This seems to be the tightest bending.

I may have some new extra black -10 AN fittings as well as some extra new EZ-Clip fittings, that I never used have to look in garage boxes |
