Any Home Security Experts?

Good morning everyone,

Last year we bought a house and it has a complete ADT Alarm system. Since I'm not paying for their service, they won't give me the code to shut up the alarm, so it's all unplugged right now.

What I'd like to do is replace the panel with my own and be able to arm and disarm it myself. I might have another company service it.

Anybody have any experience with this? Looking up keypads I see there are tons of different styles and such. Any recommendations?

Thanks for the help!

get in touch with this place : http://www.alarmrelay.com/

They monitor for a reasonable price. They can also help you do a DIY change to their monitoring. Most of your existing equipment will likely be usable.

Have you looked up the alarm key pad type on line for a pdf instruction booklet? It may show how to enter a new code..

I tried that before but came up empty handed. Just tried again and I think I found the "Back door" method for reprogramming the keypad with an installer code. I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow.
