Fuel gauge/sender converter

My electric fuel gauge (Stewart Warner) and fuel sender (Rick's) aren't jiving with one another because of the ohm difference. Is there a device to where I can splice in between the 2 without dropping the fuel tank, removing the sender and re-installing everything? I'm calling Rick's on Monday but wanted to see if I could fix it today. Any electrical gurus out there?

For it to work correctly the send and the gauge need to match

For that price, you could just get the right gauge for the sender (or vise versa) LOL
