Ridetech Cage reviews? Pics installed?

Anyone splurge and get the Ridetech cage? How do you like it? I was looking at that or the DSE but like how the Ridetech one bolts in just in case I end up hating it.

I have it in my 69 even though it was expensive I like it and does a good job with providing additional stiffness to the chassis and holding the seatbelts. I don't want to test the overall strength factor though...lol

There are some pics in my build thread "Pole Dancer" on page 6.

We've done several installs in 1st and 2nd gens.

They've always installed very nicely, minimal modification.. Pretty nice bolt-on deal. The price is pretty high but it's very well thought-out, and it's stainless steel.

Let me know if you'd like a quote on one.

I'll jump in here as well and offer additional good things to say about RideTech's Tiger Cage. It took about eight hours total to install and this included removal of the existing interior pieces, mocking up and then drilling the necessary holes for attachment points, installing the cage bits and ensuring all are aligned before connecting the brackets, and then reinstalling the interior after cleaning up some of the pieces. The parts are top quality and there were absolutely no issues with fitment. Instructions were easy to follow as well.

Mine came with five-point belts as well.

Question for those of you that have this cage. Mine is in production and they said they are sandblasting and powder coating it. Do they just clear coat it? I thought it was bare stainless?

The stainless is blasted and left as is, I believe. Some of the frame brackets and reinforcing plates are powdercoated steel.

Red scotchbrite pad and some Gibbs will pretty it up.

We typically blast it with glass beads that give it a uniform soft texture. On request, we can leave it raw so you can scotchbrite it for a brushed look, like in the Goodguy Camaro.
Or if you're really ambitious...polish it!
