Usca?
Can anyone tell me why no Florida events for Optima Challenge?
|
That'd probably be a good question to ask them directly --- they have a website.

Usca?
I tried that already, no reply.
|
ah ha.... well they'd be the ones that would know for sure. Can't say why they wouldn't answer... but at least you tried!!

Did they do Floriduh last year....if so how was the turn out? The closest to the NW this year was Thunderhill and it was a huge success! Portland last year, not so much.
I'd imagine they looked at last years numbers and feed back from multiple forums and than made the decision. New year new tracks, new regions....blah blah blah. I'd love to see an event in the NW next year. Oregon Raceway Park, the Ridge, Spokane, shoot even Pacific Raceway! Let us know if they get back to you about the decision....if they don't, I know a guy who knows a guy that could probably find out. |

Thanks a lot, I worked the Sebring event and just spectated Daytona. What an Epic experience. I was a little surprised to see 2 Vegas competitions and no Florida.
|
Well that's it! You all got two last year so this year "no soup for you!" Haha! Hopefully they're just rotating through the country and will hit up new tracks each year.

There are probably so many factors that WE mere mortals don't think about when wanting one of these events near us.... Track availability dates... Track rental costs... ease of access... whether or not the Optima trucks are available... "successful" last event and so on.
Thinking about "Vegas" - and the two dates mentioned. This was a really good facility for this style of event IMHO... "EVERYONE" wants to go to Vegas including the wives... It's not far from car heaven (Los Angeles and Phoenix)... Rooms are nice - and affordable... and you can pretty much be assured you won't get rained on.... |
