Anybody see Overhaulin last night '68 442
That thing was nice. I guess I'm a big Olds fan. And he even kept the motor and didn't shove a SBC in it (no offense to the guys that do).

One of my favorite cars... the year I was born too. Someday, I'll have a nice '68 Cutlass or 442 just for weekend cruising.

Car came out awesome overall, but the blue interior didn't do it for me. I also liked the fact the kept the original drivetrain in it.
|
I recorded and I didn't see any mention of why they kept the blue interior. And usually, they go all out on the interior. At first I was thinking the silver paint had a little blue in it to go with the interior. Nada. They dropped the ball on that one but overall, I'd still cruise the hell out of it.

interior
I was still trying to figure that one out. Car is silver and black and they use a blue interior? How about carry the theme into the interior with silver and black? Or even red for that matter and use a red pin stripe to break between the black and silver. Only thing I personally did not like to a great car.
|
I also wondered about that blue interior?

I didn't even notice the blue interior. I was eating while watching so my full attention wasn't on the show. I really did like the final product though

Same here. But I liked the wheels alot. I also thought it was cool that the guy that used to work for Boyd made the wheels. 442 verts are stinken sweet.
|
I only caught the last 20 minutes. Nice looking car overall....didn't like the blue interior with it though. He should have tied in the blue interior with the exterior better, maybe navy blue/silver rather than black/silver. Wheels were pretty cool, I was getting sick of his Nitros he puts on everything.

I just watched it too. I liked the car and thought the blue interior was funny too.
