T-56 mcleod adapter help

Anyone use Mcleod 8-207 adapter to fit LS T-56 to gen 1 350? The throwout bearing tube doesn't fit my 4 5/8 bell housing and is too long not leaving enough spline to mount clutch. Maybe I'm missing something. Any guidance from someone who has done the conversion would be appreciated. Thanks.

What car, what bell? 4 5/8" deep bellhousing is far from standard depth.

What I have been using is a 1/8" block protector between the Gen1 block a 2001 Camaro T56 bellhousing, Mcleod (MCL-8703-01) 1/4" spacer between the bell and the trans. Then shim the clutch actuator/release beaing to get a .050-.100 air gap.

you can buy everything on Ebay.

There was a seller on Ebay that made the 1/4" bell to trans spacer but I havent seen him in years.
