1st Gen Camaro Short Steering Arms
Hello all!
I'm looking for a set of the short steering arms for first gen Camaro (3954875 Left and 3954876 Right are the casting numbers). Or an aftermarket equivalent (which I haven't been able to find). Thanks for looking and I appreciate any help/advice I can get. |
Did you check with Heartbeat City:

What other suspension components are you using?

what plans do you have that the short arms are needed for? |
You can usually find a pair on ebay if you are patient. There is a pair on there now but the price is quite high at $500.

Thanks for the replies! I hadn't come across Hearbeat City. Seems like a good possibility. I wonder how often they get them in stock. I am using AFX spindles with SPC upper and lower control arms. I am going through the never ending struggle of trying to fit the largest front tire possible with a stock subframe. My wheels are 17 x 9.5 so I need the short steering arms for it to work. Thanks again for the help!

You can also use these parts numbers- LH-3902519 RH-3902520. I had a set that I sold about a year and a half ago after I swapped in the ride tech tru-turn setup. I bought them several years ago for a similar suspension setup, they were really hard to find. Good luck in your search. Here is a link to my old for sale ad that has some pics of them for reference.

my first steering arms were cut down and rewelded to a shorter length and turned in slightly to increase ackerman...you could see about that? or have some made out of billet at a local machine shop? Like these on my rambler project http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/x...psvfoj1jpt.jpg good luck |
