I would use a bolt on adapter for that wide of spacing

I try not to use more than .250 (1/4) inch of spacer....ever

x2. You want adapters not spacers. I have 3/4" adapters with press in ARP studs on the TA. You can go with 1" adapters easily.

For future reference, spacers are just rings with holes in them to slip over existing studs. Stacking washer behind the wheels on the studs achieves the same result. Adapters bolt to the car, and the wheel then bolts to the adapter. You can also change the bolt pattern with adapters but it's not necessary.

Any brand recommendations or what to look for in a quality adapter?

I know many are not comfortable with using adapters at all and will advise to "just get the correct offset/ backspace." But... any safety precautions with adapter use and maintenance, aside from proper torque specs of course? TIA.
