Dropped Spindal Question
 

I reviewed all the previous post of dropped spindals vs drop springs, but i did not happen to see what i was looking for. my question is at what size tire do u start to run into the tire to tie rod contact problem. i plan on running either a 17x7 or 17x8 up front, and drop springs are my first choice. i was just curious to find out what size tires could be put on my nova with dropped spindals. i wana lower my car 2 inches, but i may want to lower it 4 in, thats why im askin. r should i not bother trying to go that low cause of ground clearance issues. Thanks

It all comes down to how much backspace you want to run, and which spindle you want to go with as different manufacturers offer more clearance than others. I would say a safe combination would be a 17 x7 with 4 BS and a 235/45 or 245/45/17.
