I shouldn't have been looking but I was, paid scrap prices for it. It'll be stored until the wife's mustang is on the road and the other rig is sold.

1964 Falcon, 8 point 1-3/4" DOM cage, frame rails from the spring hangers up to the core support and tied into the rockers. It's a great start to a track car.

All of the fab work is done really well, car was set up with a 3 link and a wicked front set up. I'm not exactly sure what to do with the front suspension yet.....got plenty of time to think about it though!

It's this sites fault...:D My wife is actually trying to figure out the "parental controls" for all my electronics, it's a disease.

The wife's mustang will be a great driver and local auto-x car but...I want more. The discussions with the group of guys I do these events with, the PRO3/E46 class races and the chitter chatter on this site has me convinced that I need a real track car. I've been looking at Falcons and 64/65 Comets, this one popped up Friday night and I was at his door Saturday morning after work.

What's with mechanical engineers and Falcons? :headscratch: He was moving across the country, the cost of the move was adding up so he pulled his goodies and I ended up with what you see. Very knowledgable and talented, the front suspension was an unexpected site to see, especially coming out of a garage build. It's purdy!

Check out the set up that BMR and Sutton put on welds Mustang. Simple and proven system.

Is there a build thread on welds mustang?

DBasher 06-28-2015 09:23 PM

If you call 126 pages of nonsense and tomfoolery a build thread, you can find it right below this one in the race cars and modern pro-street section.

Vince, I've got bare fabricated frame rails, all the stock stuff is gone. I am on page 22 of Ron's front suspension thread, so you know, I've got that goin for me.

What the freak, Dan? Nice score! Maybe mine will be functional again by the time you get that thing rolling...

Most of my suspension went to two guys with '62 and '64 Comets...

Did the seller provide that front suspension with the car? It looks interesting and light--mine will have aluminum control arms at some point...
