Question about powdercoat

I have my sub frame powder coated and I may need to make a pocket for my A/C. I was wondering if after the work is done can I powder coat the area and use curing lamps to flow the powder out?

Does anybody have a picture or a dimension for the opening to fit the A/C compressor in a factory frame using the Corvette bracket or another one to fit it in there?
I'm no fabricator but its no fun unless you jump in the deep end. :superhack:

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Hi Wayne. As far as I know you cannot patch powdercoat like that. Best you could probably do is a couple of coats of good quality epoxy. SPI epoxy has a nice shine when you apply it wet.

I have seen pics of cutting out a section of the subframe and flipping it over to create the pocket.

Hi Wayne
Let me know if you need a hand with the SPI epoxy .
I own a body shop in Newton I could give you a hand.
I take it the subframe is black?

Thanks Everyone .
Scott, Yes its black has been powder coated. I'm trying to find a way to put the A/C compressor without cutting into it just like everyone else doing this swap. I just want to prepare myself incase it has to happen. Thanks for the offer.
