Auto Transport
Hey guys,
I'm looking to transport my pro-touring car across the country. However when I look at the common carriers on the Internet, I see nothing but terrible reviews. Surely there has to be a better way to transport a precious car cross-country? May I ask the forum for recommendations? Would prefer to have an enclosed trailer; single truck with no changing. Thank you |
Sent you a PM. Good luck!

Angel transport in redding California. They are the best.

I've used Reliable and Passport, and they were both top notch.
One truck? Once it's in there, they don't move it. |

As far as once it's in there, they don't move it is incorrect. There are some companies (Exotic Transport that comes to mind) that have their Truck go to a Common Terminal and then re-dispatch the cars. Also Cars don't come out of the Trailers in the order they go in, so yes cars will move in & out of the Trailers unless you are lucky. |
From / to where?

Intercity is another very good one.

A couple of important questions to ask any carrier.
1. Are they a broker or carrier? Brokers sub the contract to the lowest bidder. In that case if you have problems, damages, late pickup or delivery, it can be a hassle to straighten out. You wont have a contract with the carrier only the broker. Each will say its the others responsibility. 2. Will the pick up truck/driver be making the delivery? Many carriers will move cars from one truck to another, sometimes several times. Each time is a chance for damage (joy riding) to happen. 3. Can they guarantee the car will be on the upper level. This will save you from stuff dripping onto your car. I bring these up based on my experience in the trucking business. Good luck Craig |
