longest running part

Every now and then i wonder what is the longest running part and no im not talking about some stupid bolt or clip but a actual part . My choice is the door handles from 1970 Camaros thru 1993 S-10's . they were also used on various other GM vehicles A,B and G body. whats your pick ?

how about the chevy v8 block, 57-87 before changing to vortec design.

Ok ok ill give that both to you...id almost group the bulb with a bolt and yes the engine was a obvious one. It's too bad my friend whom I've lost touch with doesn't work at the local gm dealer anymore. This would be a perfect lil challenge for him.
Hey Greg how long was the 5.75" or 7" T3 made for...any idea?

One would have to research this, but the Beetle was made from approx 1941 to 2003. The potential for them to be using part(s) for 60+ years is there

Without a doubt....muffler bearings! The only supplier provided the big3 with them since about 1932.....they cut off their supply to Tucker in 48 and single handedly brought about the demise to that company. Tesla will bring the demise to the muffler bearing monopoly within 13 years.

The next monopoly is valve stem caps......the 2056 model year will see the expiration of Lexus's hover board patent and hover cars will be universally implemented bringing about the demise of this monopoly.
