Painting/Powedercoating/Anodizing Door Locks
I have seen several photos of the door/trunk locks on cars in black but can't find any details on what they are doing to them to get them that color. Has anyone done this before? My car will power door locks so they actual keyed lock wouldn't be used often if ever so scratching really isn't a concern.
Thanks in advance! |

I bought black lock cylinders from Summit. I actually used them only for the trunk because door locks were deleted. They come in black and looked nice. Not any real use so can't speak to durability but great starting point. Try the link below or search Summit for "black lock cylinder". You will get results from Standard Motor Products for both door and trunk locks.
