New (old) toy
My new toy... time and available resources will dictate the plan, but it's a legit 26k mile ride and I am the 2nd owner. It's a '70 Buick Riviera. It's not a very popular car, but some might dig it.
For me, it's part nostalgia, and part opportunity. This is one of those cars that has been a long-time itch that I can finally scratch. Here's the long story thread: http://v8tvshow.com/V8TV_2/index.php...tely-different http://v8tvshow.com/V8TV_2/images/19...14.15_035a.jpg http://v8tvshow.com/V8TV_2/images/19...14.15_036a.jpg Just thought I'd share! |

Very cool looking car, I didn't know the rivieras came with standard headlights, thought they were all hideaways, still a cool look. Mike |

63-64 were exposed lights, then 65-69 had hidden lights, 70 and on were all exposed. 1970 is a weird 1-year car in many ways, a transition car between the 2nd gen cars and the Boat Tail 71-73s. 1970 is also the only year that had wheel skirts, although you could get them in "short" or "long". In my opinion, the '70 looked pretty bad in the typical configuration, which had a vinyl top, a goofy side spear, and the long skirts. I had a red '70 many years ago that had no vinyl top, no spear, short skirts, and a white gut with buckets and a console... this was "the one that got away.." When I found this car, I grabbed it because the "naked" versions are pretty uncommon... maybe I'll clone my old ride. We'll see!
