Gas pedal suggestions

This may not be in the right place but I wanted as many to see it.

I have an LSx motor and was going to use a modified 6 cylinder gas pedal and a lokar cable. I am thinking about just putting in a lokar pedal as well.

Any pro or cons to the Lokar pedal?

...and yea Steve I know you are super tricky and using the fly-by-wire set up. How does that work? Is it a stand alone system or does the pedal input run through the computer.

Payton, I put the Lokar pedal in my car since I wanted a cable setup. Seems like a nice piece.

On the LS2, I don't think Steve has a choice. There is no where to hook up a cable to the factory throttle body, all electronic. If you run the Lokar gas pedal, I would at least match up the rest of the pedals with Lokar. Why not run Modo pedal covers?

Well, I could have swapped on a cable driven throttle body and done it the traditional way, but I thought "what the hell".

The Modo pedals install right onto the LS2 fly-by-wire gas pedal. The electronic throttle body is controled by the LS2 ECU. there's a plug specifically for it on the computer. Very easy. Someone like Speartech could get you set up for it. On an LS1 there MIGHT be a seperate small computer.

That is a great place for the fuse block and fuel controller!! That looks awesome!

I guess I should have noted the EFI and fuse block are just sitting there while I figure out where exactly I'm going to mount them under the dash.

Thanks for the positive words though. :)

I just wish Lokar would modify their firewall mount so you don't have to egg-shape the holes to bolt it on. They're off just enough, and it would be a simple fix.

Oh, I was thinking it wold be there with an access panel on a center console. It would be alot easier to get to in the center like that especialy with a roll cage blocking you from laying down on the driver floor like in my car. I want less stuff under the dash so that I have room for vintage air.

Thanks

I have been out.

Thanks for the tips guys.

I will probably go with the lokar.
