center of gravity

I've got a question, I know the concept is to get the center of gravity is low. My question is this. I'm getting ready to fabricate custom seat brackets to mount my seats, now if I were to drop those front seats, say 1 to 2 inches, would that benefit the center of gravity by getting the weight lower in the chassis?

Unless you are building a truck [or some other vehicle with a huge amount of headroom] its pretty hard to get the seats too low.
Yes, in general, lower is better...up to the point you can't see over the dash :) Lower center of gravity will help handling and headroom.

Absolutely. In my Race Car, the Seat is mounted directly to the floor
