Chevy High Performance just explains the improper way to set valves
They labelled it intake opening/exhaust closing. I know mistakes happen and nobody's perfect, but how many people are going to follow their method? Kind of a pet peeve of mine, especially when the instruction is completely wrong.
By the way, the correct method is exhaust opening/intake closing. You follow their article and you'll have one screwed up valve adjustment! :captain: Jody |
I saw that and did a double take... Still not motivated enough to email the mag.

Reminds me of when they put a tech feature on the cover, and then it not actually being in the magazine. :_paranoid

I can see making mistakes, we all do. But to mention the theory and explain how to do it several times in the same article, and not once catch the mistake.
Of course the writer obviously doesn't know how to set the valves, which is why it wasn't caught. He got the info from someone and transposed it so now how many guys will go out and adjust their valves this way and have "just a bit" of valve clatter? :wow: Jody |
