L76/6L80 swap Nova
I'm hoping somebody knows this already? I'm wanting to swap a complete drive train from a 09 G8 GT into my 70 nova. I have the complete motor and trans along with all the pulleys brackets and necassary ECU's . Not knowing a ton about this I'm stuck on the best route to get this in and running. Id like to install it and be able to upgrade after I work the kinks out. I know it has AFM and this appears to basically be an LS2 with the L92(ls3) heads. What harness and ecu would people recommend to run this and can I get the 6l80 to comply with this? Here are my ideas...

BTW, the 6-speeds work GREAT if torque model in calibration matches engine output. They'll even handle a certain extent of modifications and still work well. But you'll reach a point where actual torque varies to greatly from modeled torque and trans operation will go to ****. And generating an accurate torque model in the calibration is not a trivial matter. Dave |
I have two routes I can go.
68 camaro factory four speed car 70 nova numbers matching 350/350 a/c car 408 sbc TKO 600 L76/6L80 The 408,tko600 have never been fired. The L76 and 6l80 only has 2000 miles. Government bought it when pontiac closed and they tested some stuff on the back half and cut the roof. I wanted the L76 to go with the TKO but I didn't want to see the 6l80 tossed so I made a group purchase. I thought to out the 408 / tko in the camaro and the L76 /6l80 in the nova or maybe sell the 6l80 to recoup some the the costs |
